The summer heat is starting to slowly ease, and soon the leaves will be changing colors. The scent of pumpkin spice fills the air in coffee shops. It’s fall in DFW!

We love to celebrate each season, and we want to help our customers do the same. This year, we have compiled a list of fall fun events in DFW to help you spot the perfect pumpkin or get into the spooky spirit just in time for Halloween. Here’s a fall fun round up for all of our Dallas/Fort Worth customers from your friends at ABC Home & Commercial Services.

Autumn at the Arboretum

September 22 – November 21

One of the most popular and beautiful fall attractions in the Dallas area is Autumn at the Arboretum. Wander through displays of more than 90,000 pumpkins and enjoy the fall foliage in 15 different gardens. This year’s fall theme is “Adventures in Neverland” and features a pirate ship of gourds! Open daily from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Fright Fest at Six Flags

September 22 – October 31

The typical thrills at Six Flags get a little bit more intense during the Halloween season. The theme park is transformed into a massive haunted house with 20 spooky attractions throughout. Open weekends and select weekdays through October at varying hours.

DFW Kids Directory Fall Fest

October 6

Celebrate all things fall at this family-friendly festival at the Dallas Farmers Market. There will be a petting zoo, pumpkin painting, balloon artists, face painting, and live entertainment. The only price for admission is one non-perishable food item for the North Texas Food Bank. The festival will last 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Old Town Mesquite Pumpkin Fest

October 20

For some small-town festival fun, drive out into the suburbs of Mesquite for the 18th Annual Pumpkin Fest. There will be unique events like live jousting, an archery show, a falconry show, and a maypole, plus traditional carnival games, arts and crafts, bounce houses, food vendors, live music, and trick-or-treating. The festival will last from noon to 6 p.m.

Kaufman Scarecrow Festival

October 26 – 27

For even more small town festive fun, check out the Kaufman Scarecrow Festival. There will be a parade, live bands, an outdoor market, food trucks, a magic show, a circus act, a car show, and more. The festival will last from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. and the parade will be at 9 a.m. This event is completely free to attend.

Festival of Pumpkins

October 27

Take a trip just outside the metroplex to the countryside of Paris, Texas for pumpkin decorating, bungee jumping, pony rides, midway rides, fried food vendors, and more. Enter the pet pageant with your furry friend, or dress up in your best Halloween costume. Winners of the pumpkin decorating and costume contests will receive cash prizes. Festival of Pumpkins will last 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
