Fire Ant Control in Waco, TX

If you've lived in Texas long, you're probably familiar with the painful bite of a fire ant. They build unsightly mounds in our yards, and their bites sure do hurt. If you are looking for fire ant control in Waco, you can trust the locally-owned company that has been keeping Central Texans pest-free for generations: ABC Home & Commercial Services.

How ABC’s Fire Ant Service Works

There are two primary steps in our fire ant control methodology. First, we want to get a clear picture of what kind of fire ant problem you’re facing. Our licensed pest control specialists will inspect all areas of your home where fire ants are likely to live, identify any conditions in and around your home that may be contributing to the problem, and guide you on what to do to correct these conditions.

Next, a fire ant control specialist will treat your home based on the inspector’s report. Our preliminary treatment takes into account fire ant behavior and biology, while ongoing treatment will include highly effective fire ant bait and liquid barriers. Our goal is to have your home fire ant free.

Central Texas Fire Ants: A Big Problem

Although any Texas home will likely have ants of some kind, fire ants are a particularly dominant species in Central Texas. They will attack any other ants they find with powerful and toxic venom, giving them minimal competition as they breed and expand their territory.

A fire ant sting may hurt, but the bigger problem is that if you are unlucky enough to step in a fire ant mound, you may not get just one bite, but a swarm of bites; and some people even have an allergic reaction to fire ant bites that requires medical attention.

“I was very impressed with the handyman services provided by ABC Home & Commercial Services. Mark was professional and treated my home like it was his own. He did a phenomenal job fixing the loose siding on the chimney and securing the cedar shutters on the front of our home. While working inside our home, he listened to my concerns and addressed the tasks with efficiency and informed me of the curing time needed for the caulk to properly dry. I would definitely contact ABC again for future needs and request the same technician again.”

“We had a problem with an AC unit not cooling. We couldn’t reach ABC over the weekend (turned out we were calling the wrong number. They have an after hours answering service) so we called a different company. They told us the compressor was tripping the breaker and needed to be replaced. We were quoted $3700 for a new compressor or $7800 for a whole new AC. We decided to hold off and get a second opinion from ABC because we’ve used them for various things for more than 30 years, and we trust them. Their AC tech came out and said he was pretty sure the problem was the breaker, not the AC, so we asked ABC to send out an electrician. The electrician pulled out the breaker and confirmed that was the problem. It took him less than 45 minutes, and that was with me watching and asking questions about it. He probably would have been able to do it faster without an audience. For both techs to come out, the total was about $160. With the other company, we would have paid at least $3700 just to find out it still didn’t fix the problem.”
