Expert Pest Control in Waco, TX

Waco's short winters and seasonal humidity make our area a hotbed for pest activity. Most of us who call Central Texas home have neither the patience nor expertise to get rid of roaches, ants, mosquitoes, spiders, rats or other insects and critters. When it comes to pest control, Waco homeowners trust the professionals at ABC Home & Commercial Services for effective long-term solutions.

Effective Pest Control Solutions

ABC’s Effective and Low-Impact Pest Management Approach

ABC’s philosophy on pest control balances a comprehensive understanding of pest behavior with a practical approach to keeping bothersome creatures away from your property. With decades of experience serving Central Texas home and business owners, ABC has grown into the state’s largest independently-owned and operated pest control company by adopting a philosophy supported by many large institutions, including the Environmental Protection Agency.

The Integrated Pest Management (IPM) approach prioritizes interventions that are effective, low impact and low cost. Recognizing the interconnected nature of all the parts of an ecosystem, these techniques apply lessons learned from entomology, animal behavior, biology and horticulture to solve even the toughest pest problems.

Our Waco customers appreciate that IPM emphasizes the use of non-chemical interventions first. Our technicians will pinpoint exactly how your more troublesome pests are making their way onto your property and install protective measures to keep them away. We will also look for areas of moisture in your yard that could be harboring insects and animals or providing potential breeding areas. We may suggest adjustments to your watering schedule, putting mosquito dunks in a birdbath or cutting back overgrowth where water can collect. Clearing leaves, cutting your grass, removing or relocating firewood and cutting back bushes may also be low-impact ways to make your property less enticing to unwanted insects and animals.

Waco Pest Control FAQs

How quickly can I get treatment scheduled?

Once you spot a cockroach in your kitchen, a mouse in your basement, or spiders in your bathroom, chances are that you don’t want to wait long to address your pest problem. When we can, we try to give our customers an estimate over the phone so that we can schedule your first service call immediately.

That said, the most effective treatment plans are based on a tailored solution; in many cases, we will request that an inspector meet you at your home to get a better understanding of your problem. In most cases, based on your availability, this can happen in just a few business days. We’ll deliver a treatment plan created just for you. After you review and approve our complimentary, no-obligation estimate, we can get your first service call on our schedule.

What’s a typical duration for pest control treatments?

Each pest problem is unique and requires a slightly different approach. While we’d like to say all problems can be resolved in just one visit, that often isn’t the case. Pest activity tends to be cyclical in nature, requiring ongoing monitoring to ensure we have adequately protected you from the next generation of pests.

The length of your treatment program may vary based on a number of factors, including what season of the year you contact us, what insects or animals are the reason you reached out, and the extent and severity of your infestation. To more adequately protect homeowners in the greater Waco area against the most common household pests, ABC now offers year-round service to control the “big four” pests in our area: roaches, mosquitoes, spiders and scorpions.

Will I need to be at home during treatment?

We realize that it can be a challenge to meet our technicians for ongoing treatments. While we do our best to arrange for these service calls to take place at a time that works best for your schedule, we also offer outdoor-only services. Customers who take advantage of this option receive periodic treatments along a home’s exterior to prevent insects and other pests from making their way into your home. As long as our experts get instructions on how to access the perimeter of your home, we can do our work without your needing to be present.

How does ABC handle honey bees?

ABC does not kill or remove honey bees. We know the value honey bees bring to the environment, and we go out of our way not to negatively impact bee colonies. If you believe you have honey bees in your home or yard, we’re glad to provide you with the names and numbers of local bee keepers who can be of assistance in the removal and relocation of the hive.

What Our Customers Are Saying

Shelly Dees

“I was very impressed with the handyman services provided by ABC Home & Commercial Services. Mark was professional and treated my home like it was his own. He did a phenomenal job fixing the loose siding on the chimney and securing the cedar shutters on the front of our home. While working inside our home, he listened to my concerns and addressed the tasks with efficiency and informed me of the curing time needed for the caulk to properly dry. I would definitely contact ABC again for future needs and request the same technician again.”

“We had a problem with an AC unit not cooling. We couldn’t reach ABC over the weekend (turned out we were calling the wrong number. They have an after hours answering service) so we called a different company. They told us the compressor was tripping the breaker and needed to be replaced. We were quoted $3700 for a new compressor or $7800 for a whole new AC. We decided to hold off and get a second opinion from ABC because we’ve used them for various things for more than 30 years, and we trust them. Their AC tech came out and said he was pretty sure the problem was the breaker, not the AC, so we asked ABC to send out an electrician. The electrician pulled out the breaker and confirmed that was the problem. It took him less than 45 minutes, and that was with me watching and asking questions about it. He probably would have been able to do it faster without an audience. For both techs to come out, the total was about $160. With the other company, we would have paid at least $3700 just to find out it still didn’t fix the problem.”
