We understand that your yard is the front face of your home and is the first thing you see when friends come over, or you return home from work. After putting time and money into making sure your yard and garden are attractive, moles and gophers can quickly cause damage. Moles create circular holes and narrow runways in the ground, which may lead to more serious problems like soil degradation or pest infestation if left unchecked for long periods of time.
Many Dallas-area homeowners don’t have the tools or experience to handle a mole or gopher infestation. ABC’s trained professionals will evict moles from your yard for good, so you can go back to enjoying life. The best part is, you don’t have to be home for our team members to work since they’ll be working only on the yard, meaning you can run errands or be at work while our team is making your yard beautiful again.
At ABC, we understand that when you see signs of moles or gophers in your yard, you want to get treatment started quickly. Just reach out to us and we would be happy to send one of our team members to your home to inspect your property and create a customized treatment plan.
Our specialists use a combination of a machine called the Burrow RX and mole repellent. Both of these methods are kid and pet-friendly and don’t result in any smell in your yard after the removal of these pests.
ABC has been providing effective pest control for over 70 years to homeowners across Texas, Oklahoma and Florida. As leaders in the pest control industry, our experienced team members have learned the best ways to target and eliminate pests from residential and commercial properties, and this knowledge is passed along to our skilled technicians. Our customers feel comfortable with our specialists on their property, as all job candidates are drug tested and background checked prior to getting hired.
Additionally, ABC’s pest control professionals go through an extensive in-house training program to learn the behaviors of these pests and the best ways to successfully manage pest problems. Finally, one of our values is that we will always treat your home as if it was our own, so you can expect that we will be mindful of your home, yard and belongings.
What happens after I contact ABC?
After you reach out to us, we will come to inspect your property to verify that you have mole or gopher activity, determine the level of infestation and suggest the amount of treatment needed. We will arrange this in-person visit at your earliest convenience. During your inspection, you can expect the ABC specialist to:
- Ask you questions about where you’ve been seeing mole activity or tunnels
- Verify that the activity is caused by moles
- Answer any questions you may have about moles, gophers, our processes or our treatments
At the end of the inspection, you will be provided with an estimate for the recommended next steps. Upon your approval, we will put your first service call on the calendar.
What are some warning signs that might point to a mole infestation?
If you have moles, you may notice these signs:
- Molehills. Like ants, as they tunnel, they get rid of the dirt. Moles are most active during the day. The mounds for the deeper tunnels or the runway mazes for the subsurface tunnels can seemingly spring up in a single day.
- Tunnels, which look like lines through your yard, can sometimes be seen, even though they are underground.
- Dead plants or grass can be an indicator if moles’ burrowing activity pushes the plants or grass up, damaging root systems.
After you contact us, an ABC specialist will come out to verify that these signs are caused by moles, and can answer any questions you have about their activity.
Can’t I get rid of moles myself?
Many homeowners in Dallas don’t have access to traps for moles and don’t want to use poison or bait in the yard. And, because moles live in underground tunnels, it makes them even more difficult for a homeowner to control. Our team members have the experience and knowledge to make sure that your home is free of these tunneling pests.
How often will you treat my property?
While many homeowners hope that a pest problem will be resolved in just one or two visits, due to the nature of moles, our team members have to return to treat your property. After your free inspection, our experts will treat your yard weekly until they see that the problem is under control. After that, they can continue quarterly monitoring to ensure that moles don’t return.
What impact do the products you use have on my family and the environment?
At ABC, our top priority is your family. As a family-run business, we believe in treating your home as if it was our own, so we only select products that use in our own homes and yards. Our professionals use an organic mole repellent made from essential oils. Our mole repellent is made from citronella, garlic and other natural products. Essentially, it makes the mole’s food taste bad so they go elsewhere to look for food, and leave your yard alone.
Your pest control specialist would be happy to address any of your questions regarding the products we use and your treatment plan during any part of the process.
Do you service commercial facilities?
ABC has all of the tools to service your business! We understand that commercial pest control requires different strategies, which is why our team members go through additional training to learn the most effective methods to treat and prevent moles on commercial properties.
