After 70 years in the pest control business, our team has advanced knowledge of pests and their habits. With this knowledge, our pros deliver effective, personalized treatments to keep your home free of annoying pests. Much of our success can be attributed to our commitment to the principles of Integrated Pest Management (IPM).
IPM focuses on efficient, affordable and low-impact techniques for pest control. The IPM method draws from knowledge taken from the fields of entomology, biology, animal behavior and horticulture. That’s why the IPM method is effective while minimizing the impact on the environment.
IPM prioritizes non-chemical treatments whenever feasible. This troubleshooting method involves identifying reasons behind infestations and taking measures to avoid any future pest invasions.
We know that the key to treating pests effectively is creating a plan that is tailored to your property and the infestation. The first step of our pest control is having a specialist come to your home to better understand the problem. During this visit, you can expect your ABC technician to:
- Ask questions about your experiences with the pests to learn more about your situation
- Inspect your property to find pests and identify points of entry
- Assess your property for any pest-related damage
- Identify the type of pest, if necessary
- Answer your questions about pests on your property, as well as our methods
After the inspection is completed, you will receive a custom treatment plan and an estimate. Once we receive your approval, we’ll get your first service call on the books.
After serving residential and commercial clients across Texas for over 70 years, our customers trust that their homes and belongings will be in good hands. Our technicians undergo rigorous screening and training before they are sent on service calls, which includes passing a drug test and background check.
What’s the usual duration for your pest control treatments?
We know that once you spot a cockroach or mouse in your kitchen, you want them gone fast. Unfortunately, each pest problem is unique, so the number of visits we may need to handle the problem can vary. Since pest activity tends to be cyclical, it often requires ongoing monitoring to ensure we have protected you from the next generation of pests.
The length of your treatment program can vary based on a number of factors, like when you contact us during the year, what pests you are dealing with and the extent of your infestation. To better protect homeowners in the Pebble Creek area, we now offer year-round service to control the “big four” pests in our area: roaches, mosquitoes, spiders and scorpions.
Will I need to be at home for every treatment?
We know it can be hard to take off work to meet our technicians for ongoing treatments. While we do our best to arrange these service calls at a time that works best for your schedule, we also offer outdoor-only services. Customers that take advantage of this option receive periodic treatments along their home’s exterior to prevent insects and other pests from coming into their home.
How does ABC handle honey bees?
We do not kill or remove honey bees. ABC knows the value honey bees bring to the environment, so we go out of our way not to negatively impact bee colonies. If you believe you have honey bees in your home or yard, we’re glad to provide you with the names and numbers of local beekeepers who can be of assistance in the removal and relocation of the hive.
