ABC Home & Commercial Services: Sprinkler Repair & Irrigation in Corpus Christi, TX
ABC Home & Commercial Services provides professional sprinkler repair, irrigation system design, and water-efficiency audits for residential and commercial properties throughout Corpus Christi, Portland, Rockport, and the Coastal Bend. Under the leadership of Josh Ongman, GM of Lawn & Tree, and Branch Manager Jimmie Fielding, ABC Corpus Christi specializes in "Hydraulic Management." We ensure your irrigation system is calibrated to survive the corrosive salt air while maintaining the "Structural Integrity" of your home's foundation and "Mechanical Envelope."
The Coastal Irrigation Challenge: Salinity and Slab Stability
In Corpus Christi, an improperly managed sprinkler system is a direct threat to your home’s “bones.” The high mineral content of our local water can lead to “Nozzle Scaling,” while the constant salt spray corrodes solenoid valves and electrical components. More critically, over-watering in the Coastal Bend’s “Heavy Clay” soils leads to “Sub-Slab Saturation,” a primary cause of foundation shifting. At ABC, we treat irrigation as Precision Water Distribution, ensuring your yard gets the moisture it needs without compromising your building envelope.
Hydraulic Engineering Leadership: Josh Ongman
Our Irrigation division is directed by Josh Ongman, who understands that in South Texas, water management is a science. Josh approaches every system with a “Structure-First” methodology:
- Licensed Irrigation Expertise (LI#): Josh oversees a team of licensed professionals who design systems that account for “Infiltration Rates” in coastal clay. We ensure your system is an asset to your “Mechanical Envelope,” not a liability.
- Corrosion-Resistant Componentry: Having served the Corpus Christi area, Josh prioritizes the use of “Coastal-Grade” valves and heads that resist the pitting and mineral buildup common in our seaside environment.
- Integrity-First Stewardship: Under Josh’s direction, we provide “Water-Efficiency Audits” that identify “Hydraulic Breaches”—leaks that waste money and saturate the soil around your foundation.
Comprehensive Irrigation Solutions for the Coastal Bend
We provide a systematic approach to water management tailored for the Texas Gulf Coast:
24/7 Sprinkler Repair & Troubleshooting
From broken heads and “Geyser Leaks” to faulty controllers, we provide rapid response to restore the “Hydraulic Integrity” of your system. We specialize in diagnosing the electrical failures caused by salt-air intrusion.
Smart Controller & Weather-Sensing Integration
We install “Intelligent Controllers” that adjust watering schedules based on real-time Corpus Christi humidity and rainfall data. This prevents over-watering during Gulf storms, protecting your “Natural Barrier” and your slab.
Drip Irrigation & Foundation Hydration
In the expansive clays of the Coastal Bend, keeping soil moisture consistent is key. we design drip systems that provide “Sub-Surface Hydration” to your landscape and foundation “bones” without the evaporation loss of traditional sprays.
Backflow Prevention & Compliance
We ensure the safety of your “Internal Environment” by providing certified backflow testing. We prevent contaminated landscape water from ever entering your home’s clean water supply.
The “Structure-First” Irrigation Audit
Every service begins with a Structure-First Irrigation Audit. Josh Ongman and his team evaluate the “Spray Pattern” of your system. We identify “Foundation Incursion”—heads that are spraying directly onto your siding or pooling water against your slab—ensuring your system hardens your “Mechanical Envelope” rather than weakening it.
The Foundation Integrity Audit for Moisture Balance
In the heavy clay soils of Corpus Christi, your sprinkler system is the governor of soil movement. Every project includes a Foundation Integrity Audit. We verify that your system is not contributing to the “Heave and Shrink” cycle. By calibrating “Zone Run-Times” and ensuring proper “Hydraulic Shedding,” we protect your home’s “bones” by managing your property’s “Moisture Footprint” with absolute precision.

Our No Surprise Guarantee means the quote you receive for your sprinkler repairs or upgrades—backed by the leadership of Josh Ongman, Jimmie Fielding, and the 75-year ABC legacy—is the final price you pay. Corpus Christi Sprinkler & Irrigation FAQ
Yes. In the heavy clay soils of Corpus Christi, a “Silent Leak” can saturate the ground under your slab, causing the soil to expand and lift your home’s “bones.” Our Structure-First Irrigation Audit is designed to catch these “Hydraulic Breaches” before they cause structural damage.
We recommend a “Seasonal Calibration” twice a year. The high salinity and heat of South Texas cause rubber seals and plastic components to degrade faster than in inland areas, potentially compromising your “Mechanical Envelope.”
Absolutely. We manage the “Hydraulic Infrastructure” for businesses throughout the Coastal Bend, providing the same “Structural Stewardship” to commercial landscapes as we do to residential properties.
