What happens during the initial inspection?

To create the most effective treatment plan possible, we start with an inspection of your property. There are certain cases where we are able to give you an estimate over the phone. However, we typically prefer to meet with you to gain a better understanding of the problem. If an in-person meeting makes the most sense, we will schedule the inspection as soon as possible.

During your initial inspection, you can expect your pest control professional to:

  • ask you about what you’ve been experiencing;
  • inspect your property to find pest nesting areas, potential entry points and any pest-related damage;
  • assess your property for any structural issues or environmental factors that could make you more susceptible to an infestation;
  • if necessary, identify the species of pest and
  • answer any of your questions or concerns about the pests or our treatments.

After your inspection, we will provide you with an estimate for our suggested next steps. When we receive your approval, we will schedule your first appointment.

What pest control service do you provide for homeowners and business owners in Titusville?

With over 70 years of experience in the pest control industry, ABC knows everything there is to know about pests. We have learned the best techniques to target any type of pest that has found its way onto your property. And, we have learned how weather and local conditions can affect pest behavior. While we can create effective plans for any type of nuisance creature, we commonly provide the following types of pest control to Titusville homeowners:

An American cockroach

Palmetto Bug & Roach Control

It doesn’t matter if you call these pests Palmetto bugs or roaches, finding one is upsetting. You may have heard that these pests only infest dirty homes. In reality, cockroaches can infest even the cleanest of homes. When roaches invade your space, they can contaminate food, damage belongings, leave behind smells, worsen allergies and spread bacteria. Roaches are difficult to control because they can survive off nearly any organic matter. Worse yet, they are prolific breeders.

If you’re looking for relief from roaches, contact ABC. Our highly-trained pros know exactly where these pests like to hide. We will create a comprehensive treatment plan that targets roaches in different ways. With our ongoing pest management service, you can have further peace of mind. We will return periodically to prevent the return of roaches.

A bed bug crawling on someone

Bed Bug Control

Dealing with a bed bug problem can take a huge toll on you and your family members. These pests are about the size of an apple seed. This means they can easily travel home with you when you visit a place that is infested. Once inside your home, bed bugs can hide in cracks the width of a credit card where they wait for a blood meal. Bed bugs are difficult to control without professional help. This is in part due to the fact that they can hide in such tiny, out of the way spaces. Also, some people don’t develop reactions to bed bug bites until two weeks after they have been bitten. In that time, bed bug populations can grow to be quite large.

If you’re looking for relief from bed bugs, ABC can help. Our professionals know exactly where these pests like to hide. We will create an effective plan for your particular problem, so you can rest easy.

A mosquito biting someone

Mosquito Control

You understand why you would need to put on mosquito repellent when going on a jog through Chain of Lakes Park or when you're letting your dog run around SaindPoint Park. But, swatting at mosquitoes in your own backyard can be aggravating. Unfortunately, controlling mosquitoes can be difficult for homeowners. These pests need very little water to reproduce and some females can lay 200 eggs at a time. Fortunately, we can help. ABC uses a multitiered approach to mosquito control. We eliminate adult mosquitoes and neutralize mosquito breeding areas.

A subterranean termite on a piece of wood

Termite Control

Termites cost homeowners across the country billions of dollars in property damage. Subterranean termites are one of the most common species here in Brevard County. As their name suggests, these pests tunnel underground and out of sight. These termites tunnel in search of a plentiful food source, such as the foundation of a home. This means it is difficult to catch signs of termite activity before a colony becomes established.

If you think termites are on your property, contact ABC. We use scientifically proven measures to eliminate these pests. For future peace of mind, we offer an ongoing termite monitoring service. With this service, we can catch signs of termite activity early, so you can be confident that your biggest investment is protected.

A bat flying during the day

Bat Control

Bats can eat unwanted insects on your property, like mosquitoes and moths. But, soon enough, you’ll find the downsides of these creatures far outweigh the benefits. Bats can be loud and smelly, and they may leave unsightly droppings on your property. Furthermore, these creatures are capable of transmitting over 60 different diseases to us. Controlling bats is no easy task and it becomes more complicated when you consider the regulations in place to protect bats during maternity season.

ABC’s specialists have a deep understanding of Florida’s regulations for bat control. We will remove bats from your property while staying in line with state guidelines.

A tick crawling on someone

Tick & Flea Control

Although fleas typically prefer to bite our pets, they aren’t too picky. It can seem like flea infestations happen out of nowhere due to their prolific breeding habits. Before you know it, these pests can start biting you and your family members (including your pets), leaving you all feeling miserably itchy. Unfortunately, getting relief from fleas is no easy feat. Fleas can lay up to 50 eggs in a single day and their pupae can lay dormant for up to six months.

Ticks don’t typically infest homes, but finding one of these creatures can be alarming. Ticks are capable of transmitting serious diseases, such as Lyme disease. When it comes to controlling these parasites, ABC takes a comprehensive, holistic approach, so you and your family members can rest easy that help is on the way.

two ants coming out of an underground nest

Ant Control

These tiny pests can cause large disruptions to your life. Here in Titusville, there are many ant species that can make their way onto your property. Common species include fire ants, carpenter ants, pharoah ants and house ants. Identifying the species is important in creating a pest control plan. This is because different species have different habits and dietary preferences. When you contact ABC for ant control, you can have peace of mind that we will create a strategic plan to treat the entire nest.

a rat on a roof

Wildlife & Rodent Control

Finding rodents or wildlife on your property presents a whole new set of problems. These creatures are known to contaminate food, damage belongings, leave behind foul smells and create messes. Rodents like rats and mice have even been known to cause house fires by chewing on electrical wiring. If you’re struggling with rodents or wildlife, ABC can help. We can strategically set traps so you don’t have to worry about any unwanted house guests.

a bee nest on the side of a house

Bee & Wasp Control

When these stinging insects nest on your property, simple tasks like grabbing the mail can become treacherous. Not to mention, bees and wasps can be particularly worrisome if you or one of your family members is allergic to their sting. Our specialists can have a conversation with you about what your preferred next steps are. Then, we can remove, relocate or treat the hive.

a black widow on a web

Spider & Scorpion Control

Most people would be perfectly happy if they never saw a spider or scorpion on their property. Unfortunately, that’s almost never the case. We typically find these pests when we’re least expecting them, such as when we’re grabbing an old pair of shoes out of the back of the closet. If you would prefer to minimize your interactions with these creatures, ABC can help. We can take steps to make your property less attractive to spiders and scorpions.

How long will it take before the pests are gone?

We understand how much a pest problem can disrupt your life. We also understand that you probably want to hear that your problem will be resolved in just a few visits. The truth is that every pest problem is different and each one presents unique challenges. Also, pest pressure is high here in Central Florida, which makes pest control an even trickier challenge. We typically recommend multiple treatments to ensure that your pest problem is under control.

When figuring out how many treatments will be needed, we consider the type of pest, the extent of the infestation and any other unique factors. To keep pest populations low throughout the year, we recommend signing up for our ongoing pest management program. With this program, we come to your home at regular intervals to prevent the return of pests. Our ongoing treatments can give you peace of mind that your home has long-term relief from pests.
