No pool owner wants to dive into dirty water. Just think of the impact an accumulation of dirt, algae and other debris can have on your pool balance and equipment. That’s why taking a break from brushing, skimming and vacuuming your pool is not your best option. Instead of worrying about all that hard (and dirty) work, let ABC’s meticulous and experienced pool cleaners take this routine task off your to-do list. While we’re at it, we’ll also check and adjust your pool chemicals, as needed. That way, you won’t have to spend time stressing about your pH, cyanuric acid, chlorine, alkalinity and calcium hardness levels.
Our dedicated staff will often be the first line of defense against bigger problems, since we often spot small problems pool owners miss so they can be handled before they turn into a bigger headache. If we just can’t tackle stubborn stains any other way, we can acid wash your pool and drain it so that your pool looks great again.
A minor pool repair can get complicated very quickly, especially if you aren’t familiar with the inner workings of all the components. Even if you do have a strong understanding of the ins and outs of pool maintenance, many owners simply don’t have the time to troubleshoot and fix most issues that come up. Losing an entire weekend to a repair would leave anyone frustrated, especially if an experienced technician can quickly take care of the problem and get things done right the first time.
It makes no difference if it’s a malfunctioning pump, a broken filter or even if you have no idea what’s going on, an ABC specialist can get everything working again, regardless of the brand or type of equipment you have. Since we bring some parts with us to every service call, in many cases we can replace components in the same visit.
As a pool owner, you’re probably well aware that a pool itself is a huge investment and the way it looks or functions plays a big role in how much you get out of it. Maybe you moved into a home with an existing pool that doesn’t quite match your family’s tastes, or your pool may have become outdated over time. Or maybe you just really want to add in some innovative features to improve the overall swimming experience. Whatever your motivation for remodeling your pool may be, it’s important to carefully select a company that has the experience to bring your vision into reality. ABC’s experts can do just that, while advising you on practical concerns, including how to get the biggest return on your investment.
The high levels of exposure to heat, sunlight and other elements found in The Woodlands can definitely take a toll on the surface of your pool. Over time, the plaster may degrade and become rough to touch. In addition, your plaster can even become stained in such a way that traditional cleaning methods just won’t do enough to wipe away the built-up sediment.
The good news is that your pool surface can be transformed in both texture and color when you have it replastered. ABC’s pros can give you honest advice on whether replastering makes sense for your pool and help you review your options. If you do decide to replaster your pool, our specialists have all the tools and training to take on this project so you can maximize your enjoyment of your backyard oasis.
A homeowner’s to-do list is a mile long, and it’s easy for pool issues to sink—quite literally—to the bottom of your list. With ABC’s help, you can focus on relaxing poolside rather than dealing with the time and hassle that comes with maintaining the appearance of your pool.
We are grateful for our long list of happy customers who have allowed us to expand our services in Houston and the rest of Texas. When we ask our loyal customers why they have stuck with ABC for decades, they tell us that our thorough and comprehensive background checks and drug testing on all our employees make them feel safe having ABC perform services on their property. Our customers also appreciate that we treat their pool as we would our own. Last, but certainly not least, we have a well-established reputation for providing the best pool services in the area.
What do ABC's pool schedules look like?
After we learn more about your expectations and needs for your backyard pool cleaning service, we can recommend a schedule that best fit your needs. Some pools call for a little bit more attention than others, depending on where you live. The Woodlands is known for beautiful foliage, which can often mean more regular cleaning service calls, as our beautiful trees drop leaves and other debris off into the pool water at a surprising rate. We’ll also take into consideration the size of your pool and the season, which can dictate the volume of materials that makes its way into your water on a regular basis.
How regularly do I need to check the chemicals in my pool?
The most essential pool maintenance task is keeping your chemicals balanced. Under normal conditions, you’ll want to test your water once a week, at the minimum. After heavy rainfall or some other type of inclement weather, you’ll also want to perform a check and make adjustments, as necessary, to keep your pool water clear and safe to swim in.
How long should I wait to swim after a chemical treatment?
If one of our specialists recommends “shocking” your pool as a way to address green or cloudy water, we’ll make sure to advise you on what to expect and when you can get back to swimming.
What we usually tell our customers is that manufacturers recommend re-entering the pool when chlorine levels are back to normal. For most pools, that’s an hour or so. If you’d like us to perform this service for you, we are happy to answer any questions our customers have about the work we have done or how to keep your pool running smoothly.
When can you get started?
Pools are important in Texas, and we realize pool owners will want to get on our schedule as soon as possible. That’s why we work to gather as much information as possible from you over the phone to make sure we understand your needs and can meet or exceed your expectations. We’ll do our best to schedule a service call in just a few days, at a time that’s convenient for you, and work with you on developing a regular schedule for cleaning and maintenance. Our customers often tell us that they appreciate our prompt service that lets them back into their pools as soon as possible, so rest assured, ABC will get the job done, the first time.

My pool looks great, but the area around it could use some help. Can ABC do anything?
Your pool is often the centerpiece of your yard, meaning anything around it can quickly become an eyesore, especially if you have guests and visitors over, as many pool owners do routinely. That’s just another reason our pool customers are grateful to partner with ABC, since we offer other home services to make our customers’ lives easier.
Just a few examples of what we can do include:
- swapping out the grass around your pool area to artificial turf or another species that can handle the high foot traffic and moisture in these spots
- sprucing up your pool deck with ornamental plants or attractive beds
- controlling your mosquitoes so you aren’t constantly swatting away these bloodsucking pests while you are trying to relax
- creating pathways, walkways and other hardscaping features to help your swimmers easily move to and from your home
What can you tell me about your pool technicians' qualifications?
We couldn’t get the results we do and grow our pool service area without having highly-trained professionals on our team. In addition to keeping up to date with the latest industry standards and new technologies, ABC puts employees through rigorous in-house training. Experience, superior customer service and decades spent here in The Woodlands dealing with all types of pool issues make us the preferred pool provider here in the greater Houston area.
How do you address pool owners' concerns about the impact of chemicals on kids and furry family members?
As a company, ABC is committed to and concerned with the well-being of your family. We are happy to address any concerns you may have about the chemicals we are using in your pool. ABC follows standards set out by the Association of Pool & Spa Professionals, the leading industry association. We also are well-versed on manufacturer guidelines on how to maintain and repair your pool and help you avoid any potentially unsafe conditions.
Will I be charged extra for pool chemicals?
Our customers don’t like surprise expenses, and neither do we. This is why we strive to be completely transparent with anything you might notice on your invoice so that you don’t feel like you are paying for “hidden” fees.
Our regular pool service cost covers any pool chemicals we need to add to your pool to maintain the manufacturer-recommended levels. We charge a per visit fee for these services.
In the rare event that a technician discovers a bigger problem with your pool chemicals, we will be in touch about a proposed solution, which of course we’ll get approved before we start any additional work. In these situations, we may need to schedule an appointment that’s separate from your normal cleaning time.
What parts are you able to replace in my pool?
We will only recommend replacing a part when absolutely necessary. When we do advise installing a new part instead of repairing it, our experienced pool technicians can put in these components, sometimes in the same visit. To give you a better idea of what types of work we usually perform, we can swap out:
- Pool lighting
- Circulation and suction lines
- Time clocks
- PVC pipe (plus any needed materials to fix leaks)
When performing a repair, does ABC install used parts?
ABC’s technicians have many of the most commonly-needed parts on hand, so in many cases, you don’t have to worry about getting a part shipped to you and waiting around to get it installed. If we can make a repair using existing parts, we certainly will. In the event that we see a component is too worn to work properly, we’ll check with you to approve getting a replacement done. When we do so, we’ll use new parts only, and we’ll make sure the replacement part is working correctly before we leave your home.
