Does ABC provide free inspections in Richardson?

Yes, we do! ABC believes that the most effective treatment plans are tailored to the infestation. For this reason, we offer our customers free inspections and free estimates. In some cases, we can offer you a quote over the phone. But, in most cases, we prefer to start with the in-person inspection.

During your initial inspection, you can expect your pest control professional to meet you at your property and:

  • ask you about where you’ve been noticing signs of pest activity or where you’ve been encountering pests,
  • examine your property to locate pest hiding spots and potential pest entry points,
  • identify the species of pest, if necessary,
  • determine if there are any unique characteristics that are making your property vulnerable to pest infestations,
  • take note of any pest-related damage and
  • explain our pest control processes and address any of your questions or concerns.

Then, we will present you with a customized estimate. When we receive your approval, we will schedule your first treatment call.

Which types of pest control services does ABC provide?

ABC has been providing high-quality pest control to homeowners for generations. Over the past 70 years, we’ve implemented effective pest control plans for every type of unwanted insect or wildlife that can be found in Richardson. While we can help with any type of bug or wildlife that is making you uncomfortable, we most commonly provide the following types of pest control:

An American cockroach

Roach Control

Cockroaches are notoriously difficult to get rid of and these pests are capable of infesting even the cleanest of homes. Once they becme established inside, roaches can causing a variety of problems. They can contaminate food, worsen allergies, produce a musty smell, spread disease-causing bacteria and damage belongings. Cockroaches have been around for millions of years and have evolved to survive off nearly any organic matter, so cutting off their food sources isn’t enough to repel these pests.

For a comprehensive roach control plan, contact ABC. We use a variety of tactics to both target adult roaches as well as halt the roach reproductive cycle.

A wasp nest on the side of a house

Bee & Wasp Control

When bees and wasps nest on our properties, they tend to nest in areas that are inconvenient. For example, you are likely to notice activity near our entryways, patios, decks and eaves. Nobody wants to be on the receiving end of a sting from a bee or wasp, and the consequences could be quite serious if you’re allergic. If a bee or wasp nest is making it difficult for you to go about your normal routine, contact ABC. Depending on your preferences, we can remove, relocate or treat the nest.

A subterranean termite on a piece of wood

Termite Control

Subterranean termites are responsible for costing homeowners across the U.S. billions of dollars in property damage each year. As their name suggests, these pests tunnel underground in search of a plentiful food source. Unfortunately, the foundation of a home can be an attractive stopping place for a termite colony. Because these pests nest underground, it can be difficult to spot signs of an infestation until significant damage has already been done.

If you are worried about termites on your property, contact ABC. We use scientifically backed methods of termite control and to eliminate the entire colony. For further protection, we offer a termite monitoring program that allows us to catch signs of termite activity before a population becomes established.

A rat sitting on a roof

Rodent & Wildlife Control

Rodents and wildlife often come onto our properties in search of shelter, water and food. When these creatures stick around on our properties, they can contaminate food, damage belongings, leave behind dangerous droppings, spread diseases, create messes and even cause house fires by chewing through electrical wiring.

If rats, mice, raccoons, squirrels or other forms of wildlife are creating problems for you, contact ABC. Our specialists can strategically set traps to remove any unwanted animals from your property. Then, we can put in preventative measures so you won't have to worry about future problems.

A tick crawling on someone

Flea & Tick Control

Here in Richardson, we’re lucky to live close to Spring Creek Nature Park, Heights Park, Prairie Creek Park and a variety of other wooded areas. Unfortunately, if your dog comes into contact with another animal that has fleas while out and about, you could end up with a flea problem. Fleas are prolific breeders, so infestations can seem to develop out of nowhere. These pests are known for biting pets and humans alike, and leaving us covered in bites that are terribly itchy.

Ticks don’t typically infest homes. However, finding a tick on your property can be cause for concern, as these pests are capable of transmitting life-altering diseases, such as Lyme disease. Controlling either of these pests can be extremely difficult for homeowners, as they require different treatments at different stages of their life. ABC can create a comprehensive pest control solution for your problem, so you and your family members can feel comfortable again.

A mosquito biting someone

Mosquito Control

At one point or another, every Texan has found themselves itching away at pesky mosquito bites. While most people just associate mosquitoes with those bothersome bites, mosquitoes are also capable of transmitting serious illnesses to humans, such as the West Nile virus and the Zika virus. Public health departments have put measures in place in an attempt to control mosquitoes, but it’s nearly impossible to control all the mosquitoes in a residential area. This is partly because mosquitoes only need about a bottle cap’s worth of water to reproduce, and some species are capable of laying up to 200 eggs at a time.

If you’re finding it hard to relax in your yard because of mosquitoes, contact ABC. We use a multitiered approach to mosquito control, so you can have some relief.

A bed bug crawling on someone

Bed Bug Control

Even nice hotels can wind up with bed bug infestations. This is because you may not realize when these pests hitch a ride with you in backpacks, purses, luggage or other bags. When bed bugs make it into a home, they hide where they can easily get a blood meal, such as in the seams of mattresses or furniture.

Dealing with a bed bug infestation is exhausting and can take a huge toll on you, as well as everyone else in your household. If you find yourself miserable because of minuscule pests, contact ABC. Our specialists will create a thorough bed bug treatment plan, so you don’t have to worry when your head hits the pillow.

A black widow spider on a web

Spider & Scorpion Control

It can be quite alarming when you come across a spider or scorpion on your property. Although these pests are generally not aggressive, if they feel threatened, they could bite or sting in an attempt to protect themselves. There are two species of venomous spider in Texas that homeowners should keep an eye out for—the brown recluse and the black widow. And, no one on the receiving end of a scorpon sting wants to relive that experience.

If you want to feel more at ease when grabbing a box out of storage or pulling tools out of the back of the shed, contact ABC. We can implement pest control measures to reduce your chances of running into a spider or scorpion while going about your day.
