Spiders can be found in every home in Texas. The diversity of species and the sheer number of spiders found on a single property makes them extremely difficult to eliminate. Most spiders can bite, but two can be severely dangerous to most people: the Black Widow and the Brown Recluse. Spiders hide in out of the way places and can often avoid pesticide residuals, which makes them difficult to control.
An ABC licensed inspector can assess the home and property to locate areas that are conducive to spider infestations. Spider problems usually begin from outside, then spread into the home as populations expand. Frequently, simple environmental alterations around the perimeter of the home are a great start to spider control.
After inspection and consultation with the homeowner, an ABC specialist will perform an initial treatment of the home that reaches spider hiding places and conducive areas. After the initial treatment, an ongoing maintenance program will keep outside populations at low levels to prevent encroachment into the home.
