4. Prevention

Customers with our ongoing pest management services will receive periodic retreatments to prevent the return of the most common pests in our area.

At the end of our assessment, we will present you with an estimate for a customized pest control treatment plan. Once we receive your approval, we will put your first treatment call on our schedule. We can typically make this happen within 3 to 4 business days.

During our regularly scheduled follow up calls, you can expect us to treat outdoor hiding spots for pests, as well as any potential pest entry points. We may apply solutions in and around wall voids, weep holes, electric lines and air conditioning lines. We will also inspect your property for any potential contributing factors that could explain why your home is attracting crawling pests. To help reduce the likelihood of a future infestation, we may recommend making minor modifications to your yard.

Our customers who sign up for our ongoing pest management program benefit from routinely scheduled treatments to prevent the return of pests, since most pest activity is cyclical in nature. During these regularly scheduled calls, your pest control technician will replenish any needed products, apply preventative treatments wherever it is needed and check for any signs of new pest activity.

ABC has been a household name across Texas and Florida for generations. Through our decades of experience providing commercial and residential pest control in Stafford and beyond, we’ve learned the best way to target pests, and how weather and other environmental factors can impact pest behavior. ABC is a family-owned and operated business, so we understand you want to feel comfortable whenever a technician arrives at your home. To ensure that we are hiring the best of the best, we have a thorough hiring process in place, which includes a drug test and a criminal background check.

Before conducting service calls, all of our specialists go through an additional in-house training program to supplement their licensing. In this program, we educate them on what we’ve learned about pest control after decades of experience, as well as what our expectations are for customer service. Finally, one of our values is that we will always treat our customers’ homes as if they were our own.

Frequently Asked Questions

How soon can you come out?

We understand that if you’re feeling frustrated about a pest problem, you want a specialist to come to your home promptly to begin a treatment plan. Just give us a call or schedule an appointment online and we will send a licensed technician to your home as soon as possible. Sometimes, we’re even able to offer estimates over the phone.

How often do you come to service my property?

Because each pest problem develops because of a variety of factors, every pest control management plan that we create is unique. We understand that most people want to hear that their pest problem will be resolved in just one or two visits. However, in order to adequately control a pest population, we typically recommend multiple treatments. When we create your treatment plan, we take into account the type or types of pest on your property, the severity of the problem, the time of year in which the problem is taking place and any other factors that make your property more attractive to these unwanted visitors.

Since many of the pests in the Houston metropolitan area have seasonal life cycles, we will likely suggest ongoing treatments to prevent the return of pests. During these appointments, we will apply preventative products and inform you of any new signs of pest activity so we can stop a potential pest problem before it turns into a larger headache.

What if I still see pests after a treatment?

There is a possibility that you will see pests after your initial treatment. This is because we have made these creatures’ nesting areas inhospitable and now these pests are looking for a new place to live. However, the target insects or critters will unknowingly be bringing the product with them to whichever area they decide to inhabit next. Eventually, this will lead to the reduction of pest populations on your property.

Any pest activity 7 to 10 days after your initial treatment is considered normal. If you’re still noticing pest activity anywhere from 7 to 30 days after the first treatment, get in touch with us. We would be happy to send a pest control professional back to your home, at no additional cost.

Are the products which you use pet and kid-friendly?

As a family-run business, your family is our top priority. When we are selecting which products to use for residential pest control in Stafford, we only select those that are specially formulated for residential use. Additionally, we only select solutions that we would feel comfortable using on our own properties. As a part of your initial inspection, your specialist will determine the lowest concentration of product to use to be both low impact and effective. If you have any further questions about the products that we use or our pest control plans, your specialist would be happy to answer them.

Do you service commercial facilities?

ABC is happy to provide your business with commercial pest control. We understand that commercial facilities have different requirements than residential properties, which is why we have technicians that go through additional training to service commercial properties.

“So far the service we've been getting is as scheduled. However, this time I was not notified 30 minutes prior to arrival as originally told. The front looks great as usual. The backyard wasn't edged as nice as the front (or at all?), and I really would have appreciated deep edging around our firepit. Addendum 12/8/23: Changed 3 stars to 5 stars for follow-up service! After the above review, I was contacted by ABC in regards to my initial review. Anne was very courteous and eager to send someone out to follow up on my concerns. Arrangements were made that met my schedule, and the crew was very prompt in their arrival on said scheduled date. Our backyard is now 10 times better. Granted, there is still clean up to do on our part, but now it will be so much easier. Certainly worth the subscription price based on customer service alone! “I had an ammonia type smell in certain areas of the house along with numerous aggressive flies. I called ABC Home and Commercial Services first thing in the morning. A supervisor stopped at my house on his way into work to locate the problem. He then had a specialized technician-Matt- come by. He went in both attics and found some possible entry points at the roof whirlybird vents. He sealed them up. I have used ABC for years for my rodent exclusion protection on the house and have been very happy with them. I highly recommend their services.”
