Whole-Home Standby Generators in San Antonio, TX

Power Security in an Unpredictable Texas Climate

In San Antonio, power reliability has become a critical concern. From the record-breaking heatwaves that strain the ERCOT grid to the unexpected winter freezes that can leave neighborhoods without power for days, a standby generator is more than a convenience—it is an essential safeguard for your family’s safety and your home’s infrastructure. At ABC, we specialize in permanent, automatic backup solutions that restore power within seconds of an outage.

Master-Level Generator Leadership

Our standby generator program is overseen by Senior Branch Manager Steven Meyer who leads a team that treats generator installation as a complex mechanical and electrical integration. Under his leadership, ABC San Antonio doesn’t just “drop a unit” on your property; we perform a comprehensive Load Management Audit to ensure your generator is perfectly sized to support your HVAC system, medical equipment, and essential appliances.

Professional Standby Generator Solutions

Our licensed electricians, including Master-level specialists, provide a “Turn-Key” experience for the industry’s leading brands, such as Generac and Kohler:

• Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS): We install sophisticated switching systems that detect a power loss and transition your home to generator power automatically, even if you are not home.
• Fuel Source Integration: We coordinate the structural plumbing required for natural gas or propane hookups to ensure a continuous fuel supply.
• Remote Monitoring Systems: We set up mobile alerts so you can monitor your generator’s status and exercise cycles from your smartphone.
• Annual Maintenance & Load Testing: Proactive service to ensure your engine, battery, and alternator are ready for an immediate start when the grid fails.

The Foundation Integrity Audit for Generators

A whole-home generator is a heavy piece of mechanical equipment that requires a stable environment. Every installation includes a Foundation Integrity Audit of the site. Championed by Steven Meyer, this audit ensures that San Antonio’s shifting clay soil won’t cause the generator’s concrete pad to tilt or sink, which can unbalance the engine and strain electrical conduits. We also verify that the installation site meets all local building codes for clearance from windows and structural openings.

The ABC Difference: No Surprise Guarantee

We believe in honest, transparent pricing for your home’s security. Our No Surprise Guarantee means the quote you receive for your generator installation—including permitting and electrical upgrades—is the final price you pay. Backed by the 75-year reputation of the Jenkins family and the local accountability of Steven Meyer, we provide professional results with total pricing clarity.
