Frequently Asked Questions
What's the first thing to consider for mowing service from ABC?
Basically, decide on the level of mowing service – Basic or Premier. Then, decide on the frequency of visits. All our agreements are for 12 months, but the number of mowing visits can vary between 26, 34 or 43 visits over the 12 months – your choice.
What's the difference between the basic mowing and premier mowing plans?
In short, Premium mowing includes additional areas of service that Basic does not.
Basic Mowing Program
- Mowing turf grass areas (doesn’t include bagging of clippings) edging, and string line trimming along hardscape edges – sidewalks, sidewalk cracks, retaining walls, border edges, fences, foundations and driveways. Also, blowing off driveways, sidewalks, porches, and decks.
- Herbicides will be applied to sidewalk cracks, driveway cracks, and obvious delineated walk paths.
Premier Mowing Program
- Mowing turf grass areas, (doesn’t include bagging of clippings) edging, and string line trimming along hardscape edges – sidewalks, sidewalk cracks, retaining walls, border edges, fences, foundations and driveways. Also, blowing off driveways, sidewalks, porches, and decks.
- Pruning and shaping of shrub and ornamental trees & shrubs/trees below 8’ to desired shape or to maintain natural form as needed. Removal of dead plant parts and broken shrub branches. Also, removal of dead plants after customer is notified. Plant growth regulators may be used to help achieve desired maintenance frequency on some shrubs.
- Planter bed maintenance includes blowing and removal of leaf litter created by pruning, blowing and removing leaf build up. Plus, removal of debris under shrubs, and hand pulling large weeds. Can also include post emergent herbicide applications for weed control and removal of volunteer plants.
- Seasonally appropriate application of pre-emergent herbicide to help lesson weed issues.
What's the frequency of mowing visits?
For Basic, you choose between 26, 34 or 43 mowing visits. For Premier, choose from either 34 or 43 visits. 26 weeks is not available on the Premier service plan.
How do the different amount of visits translate to months of the year?
All mowing frequency packages are based on a 12 month period. Service can be started any time during a year.
- 26 mowing service program includes service every other week throughout the year for a total of 26 visits.
- 34 mowing service program includes service every week – April through October. Then, service every other week – November and March. One mow per month – December, January and February.
- 43 mowing service program includes service every week – March through October. Then, during Nov, Dec, Jan and Feb, it’s every other week, for a total of 43 visits.
What else do I need to know about beginning the service?
When talking to any of our Lawn pros, you’ll hear them reference an “initial” visit and then the ongoing service visits. The initial visit commonly takes longer to perform and involves getting the lawn to a “base level” that can be maintained over the life of the 12 month contract. This initial visit is detailed & priced separately in our lawn agreement. Then, based on the size and complexity of your yard (and your choice of Premier or Basic), a second price is prepared. It represents the full year of cost of service. We then divide that by 12 to give you a flat monthly price.
Are there other services that can be added?
In short: yes. Things like planting bed maintenance, adding and removing plants for seasonal color, twice-yearly leaf removal, mulching of beds, etc., are all available. Additionally, complete fertilization plans for turf, shrubs and trees can be added to either the Premier or Basic plan. Talk to one of our Lawn pros for details on any of these.

What Our Customers Are Saying
Dianne Roman
“I called this morning regarding an electrical issue, and luckily ABC was able to book me into the last slot. Stevie was great! He called in advance to inform me of his ETA and was on time. He was understanding of our "no shoes in the house" rule and had no problem wearing shoe covers to accommodate our request. He patiently answered all my questions, and walked us through his root cause analysis and fix. I would definitely use ABC again because of the amazing experience I had with Stevie!”
Marianne Roeder
“ABC did a great job installing a level 2 EV charger in our garage. They were the only company we contacted that provided a detailed estimate. Electrician Brian got the job done quickly and professionally. Highly recommend!”
